About SEE

Social Entrepreneurs and Enterprises (SEE) is an initiative of Alumni Association IIT Kanpur and supported by various IIMs & IITs.

SEE Platform is a network of passionate individuals and institutions combining their skills and resources in support of key activities to promote social innovation in India. Our united effort provides leadership to advance social innovation, with the ultimate goals to create a measurable social impact.

Our Vision

To create awareness among all Alumni and non-Alumni about Social Sector, needs, and opportunities and to leverage the power of our Alumni network to support those entering the sector or on their journey, through, expertise, mentoring, funding, government and corporate connections.

Social Entrepreneurs and Enterprises (SEE) was one of the first platforms which was established to encourage social entrepreneurship in India to address various challenges faced by rural & urban setups

(March 4th, 2017)

First big event was organized in Bangalore where we invited changemakers, CSR heads, Karnataka Government officials, impact investors and many significant dignitaries

Agriculture is the backbone of our country. More than 65% of our population lives in rural areas. We addressed the challenges faced by the agriculture sector in our Decoding Agriculture session.

Day Zero is alarming us to act on the water crisis. From prevention of source, water sanitation, recycling and other major recommendations were the center of Water: Act or Perish session.​

We face major environmental challenges associated with excessive waste generation, inadequate waste collection methods, treatment and disposal issues etc.

Air pollution and its impact were addressed in Care for Air edition of SEE. Sources of air pollution, health impacts of outdoor air pollution, and review of air quality management options at the national and urban scale were presented.

The holistic development of villages and their people is majorly dependent on improving sustainable livelihood solutions with better resources. Rural livelihoods were an attempt to bring solutions to the fore.

This edition was focused on uncovering Impact investment opportunities to generate beneficial and measurable social or environmental impact, alongside a financial return.
